About Ambi Mercantile

Curated finds for a life well-loved.

Hi, I’m Kelly — the eye, voice, and search history behind Ambi Mercantile.

This is a quiet little corner of the internet I built for one specific kind of reader: the woman who’s tired of viral product roundups that all sound the same, who actually wants to know what works after a year of real use, and who cares about how a thing feels in the room as much as how it functions.

I write about the pieces that have earned their keep in my own home — the smart bird feeder that turned my porch into a sanctuary, the moving day kit I won’t move without, the slow-morning coffee setup that made the kitchen feel like a café, the printable journals and planners I make and use myself. Anything I recommend, I’ve actually owned, used, and would happily send to a friend.

What This Site Is

Ambi Mercantile is a blog and a small Etsy shop. The blog is where I share what I’m loving and using — written long, written slow, written from real life. The shop is where I sell the printable journals, planners, and activity books I design myself.

Both exist to serve the same idea: a life well-loved isn’t about more — it’s about choosing better. Better mornings. Better evenings. Better small details that turn a house into yours.

What I Believe About Recommendations

A product recommendation is a small act of trust. Someone reads what I write, takes my word for it, and spends their money. I don’t take that lightly.

I never recommend something I haven’t used or thoroughly researched. I never accept payment for a positive review. If a product doesn’t earn its keep, I quietly leave it out — rather than damning it, I just don’t feature it. I’d rather write about ten things I love than fifty things I’m lukewarm on.

The Site does contain affiliate links — when you click through and buy, I earn a small commission at no cost to you. That’s how this work pays for itself. Full details on our Affiliate Disclosure.

Where I’m Writing From

North Carolina, mostly. A small house with a porch I love, a kitchen I’ve gradually made my own, and a few birds I’ve gotten on a first-name basis with.
