Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: May 4, 2026

Ambi Mercantile is a participant in several affiliate marketing programs. This page explains in plain language what that means.

The Short Version

Some of the links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you.

We only ever recommend products we personally own and use, or that we’d happily recommend to a friend. Affiliate commissions help support the work that goes into Ambi Mercantile. Thank you for choosing to shop through these links — your support genuinely matters.

The Longer Version

What is an affiliate link? An affiliate link is a tracked URL that connects a click on this Site to a purchase on another retailer’s site. When someone clicks one of our links and buys something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale as a commission.

How does this affect you? It doesn’t. You pay the same price you’d pay if you went directly to the retailer. The commission comes from the retailer’s side, not yours.

How do we choose products? We only recommend products we’ve personally tested, used, or thoroughly researched. We don’t accept payment for positive reviews, and we won’t recommend something we don’t actually believe in. Our editorial integrity is more important to us than any commission.

Affiliate Programs We Participate In

  • Amazon AssociatesAs an Amazon Associate, Ambi Mercantile earns from qualifying purchases.
  • AWIN — for select home, kitchen, and lifestyle brands
  • ShareASale — for select boutique and small-business brands
  • Impact — for select retail and direct-to-consumer brands
  • Direct partnerships — with a small number of brands we work with directly

FTC Compliance

In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR § 255 (“Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising”), Ambi Mercantile discloses on every post that contains affiliate links that the post contains affiliate links and that we may earn a commission from purchases.

No Pay-for-Play Reviews

We do not accept payment from brands in exchange for positive reviews, ratings, or rankings. Editorial decisions about which products to feature are made independently based on what we believe will genuinely help our readers.

Sponsored Content

If we ever publish sponsored content (a post created in collaboration with a brand for which we receive direct compensation beyond a standard affiliate commission), it will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” “In partnership with,” or similar at the top of the post.
